These terms are published for information during the private technical preview. They are not a customer agreement or bespoke legal advice. A pilot, licensed feed or future paid service may require separate written terms.
Status and scope
Terminal Weather Services is in private technical preview. The public website, live comparison, workspace preview and API documentation are non-production evaluation surfaces. These terms apply when you visit or use those public surfaces.
The service may change substantially before general availability. A public page does not create a service-level commitment, customer relationship, data licence or right of continued access.
Safety boundary
Do not use the website or preview as an official meteorological source, pilot briefing service or basis for operational aviation decisions. It is not designed, certified or supplied for aircraft navigation, communication, control, dispatch or any other safety-critical purpose.
Use authoritative, approved operational sources for aviation decisions. A Terminal Weather Services classification or comparison does not replace professional judgement or an upstream report.
Availability and accuracy
Preview data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, unavailable, malformed or incorrectly classified. Collection paths can fail independently, and a displayed timestamp may describe collection or source metadata rather than the time at which conditions changed.
We may modify station coverage, source adapters, thresholds, classifications, interfaces or documentation without notice. Historical examples and simulated interface states should be treated as illustrative unless they are explicitly identified as a retained observation.
Acceptable use
You may browse the public preview and use published examples to assess whether the service may fit a technical evaluation. Automated access is permitted only where an endpoint or downloadable artefact expressly allows it and must remain within any published limits.
You must not:
- send aggressive, high-frequency or bulk automated requests to the website or preview endpoints;
- evade technical controls, rate limits or access restrictions;
- interfere with availability, probe non-public systems without written permission or introduce harmful code;
- misrepresent preview output as an official report, certified service or Terminal Weather Services endorsement; or
- use the preview in a way that violates an upstream provider's rights or applicable law.
Report a suspected vulnerability privately to security@terminalweather.com. Do not test non-public systems without prior written permission.
Upstream data, attribution and redistribution
METAR messages, timestamps, metadata and other upstream material may be subject to rights, conditions or licences imposed by their source or another rights holder. Displaying or processing that material does not transfer those rights to you.
Terminal Weather Services does not claim ownership of upstream weather reports. You must not redistribute, resell or use raw upstream material commercially unless you have an independent right to do so. Source names and attribution identify technical provenance; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement or a commercial relationship.
Retention, downstream use and redistribution in any pilot or future service will be limited by the applicable upstream licence and written customer terms.
Terminal Weather Services materials
Subject to upstream rights, the website design, original documentation, interface, source-alignment model and derived classifications are Terminal Weather Services materials. You may view them for internal evaluation. Their publication does not grant a right to reproduce the interface, bulk-extract the service or present its classifications as your own product.
Published API examples, schemas or integration artefacts may carry additional notices. Where those notices are more permissive, they apply to the identified artefact.
Preview access
We may limit, suspend or remove access to any public or private preview surface to protect the service, upstream sources or other users; respond to suspected misuse; comply with law or licence conditions; or make technical changes.
Private pilot access, if offered, is personal to the participating organisation and may not be shared outside the agreed evaluation team.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The website and preview are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Terminal Weather Services and its operator are not liable for loss arising from reliance on preview data, interruption, source failure, incorrect classification, loss of data, loss of profit or indirect or consequential damage. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
The Privacy notice explains routine website-delivery data and how personal information is handled. Any contact or pilot-enquiry functionality is also subject to that notice. Privacy enquiries can be sent to privacy@terminalweather.com.
Business identity and governing law
Terminal Weather Services is a trading name used by Benjamin Linnet Enskild Firma, a registered Swedish sole-trader business based in Stockholm, Sweden.
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Sweden, without limiting any mandatory rights that apply under law.
Changes and questions
These terms may be revised as the preview, contact route, data sources or commercial service boundaries change. The review date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
Questions about a technical evaluation or the permitted use of preview material can be submitted through the pilot enquiry route or sent to pilot@terminalweather.com.
