Why this exists
Weather reports move through systems. Their differences should not disappear between them.
The service was created to make the collection, timing, preservation and comparison of aerodrome weather messages easier to inspect. Its focus is the path a report takes and the evidence attached to it—not producing an alternative forecast or replacing an official meteorological source.

The service is for data observability, analytics and infrastructure evaluation. It is not a consumer weather application, pilot briefing service or system for aircraft navigation, communication or control.
